Why Mambo Experience

Festivals give
you workshops.
Mambo Experience
gives a progression.

Four days, one team of teachers, one curriculum. What you learn on Monday is still being built on by Thursday — and the room you are in was chosen for the dancer you actually are.

  1. 01

    Structure

Sessions connect to each other instead of existing in isolation.

  2. 02

    Feedback

Teachers see you, correct you, and help you adjust while it matters.

  3. 03

    Depth

Technique, partnerwork, rhythm, culture and application in one arc.

  4. 04

    Immersion

You train inside the city that shaped the dance you are learning.

Awaiting real quotes

“A featured attendee quote sits here — the strongest one, set large.”

Six to ten testimonials are needed before launch: a first-timer, a returning attendee, an international traveller, and an advanced dancer or teacher. Name, city and year attended for each. Nothing is published here until they are real.

Beyond the training room

The training is four days.
New York is all week.

You are not buying twelve hours in a studio. You are buying a week in the city that made this dance — the nights are as much a part of it as the mornings.

  • Angel & Stephany performing in New York

    01

    The socials

The city dances every night. What you drilled in the afternoon gets tested on a crowded floor at midnight.

  • A trumpet played under stage lights

    02

    Live music

This music was written to be played live, and New York is where it still is — bands, descargas, and rooms where the orchestra decides how the night goes.

  • A yellow cab on a New York street at dusk

    03

    The rest of the city

Concerts, shows, the neighbourhoods this dance came out of. Your evenings are not downtime — they are why you booked the flight.

Before You Book

The five questions
everyone asks first.

Which track should I choose?

Main Track is for experienced intermediate and advanced dancers building deeper fundamentals and cleaner execution. Master Track is for professionals, teachers and highly experienced dancers working at a faster pace on more advanced material. They are two serious rooms, not a beginner room and an expert room — pick the one that will challenge you without overwhelming you. If you are unsure, contact us before booking.

Do I need to register with a partner?

No. You register as an individual in your role, and you rotate through the room during partnerwork. Registration details for leader and follower balance are confirmed closer to the opening of sales.

Is Mamboland ESM included in every pass?

No. The Mamboland ESM congress is included with the Full Experience Pass only, and that includes its workshops, not just the socials. The Mambo Experience Pass covers the Monday–Thursday training. Mamboland ESM is a separate congress and brand.

What dates should I travel?

Come early if you can. Training starts Monday July 26 at 11am, but the weekend before it is when a lot of the city's socials and one-off events happen — flying in on Friday July 23 or Saturday July 24 buys you two or three extra nights of dancing before the week even begins. At the other end, the Mamboland ESM congress runs through Sunday, so book your flight home for the Monday at the earliest. The honest answer: get as many days in New York as your time and budget allow.

Where does the training take place?

The week runs across two venues, both confirmed. Monday to Thursday, training is at Empire Dance Studio in midtown Manhattan. Friday to Sunday, the Mamboland ESM congress is at the New York Marriott Marquis on Broadway in Times Square.

What happens if my track or role sells out?

Each track takes 50 dancers, and tracks and roles sell separately — Main can still have space when Master is full, or leads when follows are gone. Once a track or role is full it is closed; we open a waitlist and contact people in order as places free up, but a place is never guaranteed.

What happens on Thursday?

Thursday is the seminar day. Rather than another studio session it goes deep on mambo history and musicality — where this dance came from, how the music is built, and how to hear it. It is a training day, and the Mamboland ESM pre-party runs that evening. Times are confirmed closer to the event.
